Mamie and Pappy’s Visit June 14, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — mommybraggin @ 8:20 pm

Mamie and Pappy came for a week to help me while My Love was gone for about 2 weeks.  It was so nice to have them here.  They got here the day that My Love left, so I didn’t even have time to feel lonely or sorry for myself.  It was very relaxing for me, and I loved having time with my parents.  The kids had a blast as well.  We did a lot of stuff, but we stayed close to home so it still felt relaxing to me.  Little Man was ecstatic to see Mamie and Pappy when they got here.  I love seeing him so excited; it’s precious.  Baby Doll took to them easily as well.  She is really doing better at going to people other than me.  Praise the good Lord!

I hope that you enjoy all of the pictures!  We sure had fun making the memories that go along with them!  I have a video of Little Man making a hole in one, but I can’t get it to upload.  Sorry!  Happy Weekend!!!

Spaghetti Anyone? May 6, 2008

Filed under: Baby Doll, Little Man — mommybraggin @ 8:11 pm

We ate yummy spaghetti tonight.  Since My Love was not here, Baby Doll was able to eat it and get messy.  When Daddy is here, he doesn’t let her make a mess while eating!!!  But Mommy doesn’t care!  She ate well, and when she was finished she started taking the spaghetti off her plate and putting it on the floor.  Probably the reason that I am blogging right now…to have an excuse to not clean the floor!!  HAHA  I put a stop to her ‘cleaning’ her plate and took her to the sink to “hose her down”.  (after taking pictures, of course)  Well, Little Man wanted to be “hosed down too” even though he didn’t have spaghetti all over him (as you can see by the picture that he wanted me to take of him because he had “spaghetti right here, see?”  So he got a quick hose down before finding his way to the tub tonight as well.  What an adventure!

Honey and PawPaw’s Visit May 4, 2008

Filed under: Baby Doll, Family, God, Little Man — mommybraggin @ 2:09 pm

Honey and PawPaw came to visit last weekend.  They kept the grand-kids while My Love and I went to a marriage retreat that My Love led for his people.  I hope to have a picture of that place soon; it was GORGEOUS!  We went down and stayed and extra day, quite fun for us.

Honey and PawPaw said that it was fun for them, too!  They like to call visits that they get with the kids and without the parents ‘unsuprovised visits’.  I think that’s funny!  Anyway, the kids were great for them, which made me really happy.

PawPaw introduced Little Man to go-carts, and Little Man loved it!  I actually got to see him on them, and he was just a smiling!   So cute.  Baby Doll was walking everywhere for them, and she talked a lot.  Of course all that babbling made Honey happy!

I just can’t help but think how grateful I am to have great in-laws.  My Love and I are truly blessed to both have super parents.  Thank you, Honey, PawPaw, Mamie and Pappy.  We could even extend that to GMa, GP, Nanny and MawMaw.  What a legacy we have!  Thank you, Lord!

I cannot get these two pictures to cooperate, but I wanted to put them on here, because I think that they are adorable.  Don’t you just want to pinch (pronounced peench) those legs!!!!

Joey and Sara’s Wedding April 21, 2008

Joey and Sara’s Wedding April 21, 2008

Filed under: Baby Doll, Family, Little Man — mommybraggin @ 7:54 am

We had a blast at all of the events for the wedding.  My kiddos behaved wonderfully and were great troopers staying up later and waking up at the same time with naps only if they fit the schedule.  I’m so thankful that God enabled them to be so flexible.

Baby Doll attached to a sweet lade (wife of groomsman) at the rehearsal.  She was willing to take her during the wedding and walk around when needed.  What a blessing to me!  I was able to watch the entire wedding without interruption!

Little Man did a fabulous job as the ring “bear”.  He was determined to have the real rings on his pillow, or he didn’t want to walk down the aisle.  Sara was so sweet and let him do that.  Thank you, Sara!!

I had a great time seeing all of my family.  I miss being close to everybody so much.  It isn’t easy for me, but God helps me along the way.  I was reminded just yesterday that I have said to Him, “here and I; send me.”  I totally mean that I am here for His service…and for me that has meant sacrificing being close to my family.  I do hope that He is glorified with my life and that I am able to teach my children how to live for Christ.

May God bless y’all!

                                   Before Church

I’m a bit overwhelmed right now, because wordpress has changed a lot of things on this site.  I don’t have time to play around with things and didn’t know what some of the other things did.  Now they’ve gone more high-tech on me, and I just don’t know about it.  I reccon’ I’ll figure it out eventually.

Now to the reason I’m writing…I’m sorry that it’s been so long since I’ve posted pictures.  I got a new camera for my birthday, and I honestly hadn’t taken the time to figure it all out.  (Ya know, hooking it up to the computer to input things and all.)  So, here I am with a little time while my two angels are sleeping.

As far as new things go…Baby Doll is still not walking on her own.  My brother gets married Saturday, and I just knew that she’d be walking for his wedding.  Oh, well.  My Love thinks that she’s smart because she has the rest of her life to walk.  She should take advantage of getting carried around while she can!  :)

Little Man has been going through some authority challenges.  My Love and I had to have our first sit down time to discuss consequences.  It went well, and Little Man is smart enough to understand what we told him.  He has been acting better since the meeting.  I think he realized that we mean business.

Okay, here are the photos.  My girl angel has woken up and I must go to greet her!  Love y’all.

Sweet Boy! April 2, 2008

Filed under: Little Man — mommybraggin @ 12:03 pm

Well, I just had to write quickly and say that my Little Man is the sweetest boy ever.  Today we are watching a neighbor’s son (two days older than LM) while she is having a C-section.  We’ll call him Jake.  Jake is not much on napping or staying in his room for that matter, so I knew that quiet time would be an issue.  However, I decided to do things like we always do at our house, but allow Jake to be in the room with LM.  Jake cried when I left the room with the two boys on the bed reading books.  I decided to keep going and see what happened.  I walked into the living room and heard Little Man say, “It’s okay, Jake.  Don’t be scared; I stay in here everyday.  I’m here with you.  You’re okay.  I love you very much.  You’re Momma will be back.  She had to go to the hospital and have your baby.  Don’t cry or we can’t play outside.  I am here with you.  God is up in the sky, and He will take care of you.  Say, ‘Yes, sir’”  No reply.  “Say, ‘Yes, sir now!!!!’”  I then intervened.  I think that he was trying to make it all better.  He just got a little too big for his britches!  He’s quite a bossy one…I don’t know where he gets it from!

SNOW!!!! March 7, 2008

Little Man has been waiting and waiting to see snow.  Thank you, Lord, for bringing some our way!!!!  Little Man was so funny.  He did not want to taste it, but he did want to make a snow angle!  It was such a fun experience.  It reminds me of the snow we got when I was growing up.  My daddy scraped the whole yard just to make a snowman for us.  I think that we would have had to scrape the whole neighborhood!!  Oh, well, for this Southern girl and family…it was SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!
