Well, as you see I haven’t slowed down long enough to sit at the computer and update you on all our our life events! I decided that I better get to it or some of you would get me!!!! We had a great trip to visit my family for Thanksgiving. The kids did so well traveling. My (crazy) Love drove through the night…that’s right NO stopping to sleep…Tuesday night. The kids and I slept some. Honestly, I found most of the trip enjoyable. It was funny to be awake in a gas station with my family at wee hours in the morning. Little Man and Baby Doll were in their pajamas. I wondered what others were thinking of us having kids out at that time. It was quite and adventure! I drove for about 45 minutes toward the very end of our trip so that My Love could nap a while. He made me stop for fear of me falling asleep! We made it safe and sound to my parents around 7 (I think) maybe 8.
Little Man got to play with some of his friends Wednesday before they went on a visit. Uncle Joey and Sara came Thursday as well as MawMaw. We had such a fun time with everyone! They all came with Christmas gifts, which made it especially enjoyable for Little Man. As you see, Uncle Joey and Sara hooked him up with some Bob the Builder gear! Aunt Barb sent some tools too, so he was set to work and fix things! I personally enjoyed talking face to face with everyone. MawMaw cried as soon as she saw Baby Doll, and that blessed my heart. I’m so thankful that they were able to see each other again. I asked Sara a million and one questions about the wedding. I’m surprised she didn’t sock me in the face, but she graciously answered all of them with a smile on her face. She is a really great gal; I’m happy that Joey found her.
I love the big smiles in the picture with MawMaw! You’d never know that Baby Doll was ready for a nap when we took this! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of them with Nanny. Shame on me!
We went to Nanny’s Saturday. It was so fun to see all the clan there. We played some games, and Little Man had a blast with his cousins. They played Spiderman forever. It was fun watching him interact with them. I’ll tell ya, moments like that make me really miss being there. Below you’ll see Little Man with his cousins.
Sunday we went to EBC and truly enjoyed seeing our friends. I miss them terribly, some days are worse than others. Yet, God continues to sustain me and remind me of my call. I thank God for that church family and the fact that He called us from that mission-minded church. We know that they continue to pray for us. I am so grateful for those prayers. May God forever bless EBC.
As you can tell, our Thanksgiving was full of fun, family, and friends, just what I hoped for. There are those that I wish that we could have seen, but perhaps we’ll see them next time. The food was fabulous everywhere I went. Therefore, I haven’t stepped on the scales. Maybe I’ll wait until Christmas is over and assess all the damage at one time! Blessings to each of you!!!!
